WOW: Tack To The Future

Laura Zylinski, Captain of the Barnegat and Licensed USCG Captain, will be our guest speaker for the day! Learn the essential maneuvers of tacking and jibing. Most often, wind direction inhibits the ability to sail directly to a destination, so the skipper must sail close to the direction of the wind and "tack", or change direction periodically in order to reach their desired location. Sailors will learn when and how to tack and jibe (change direction with the wind coming from the stern of the boat).
