Sailing Instructor

My name is West Walker and I’m a sailor from Mantoloking Yacht Club. I have spent lots of time racing Optis and 420s, but also have experience on Lasers, Sunfish, CFJs, J24s, and C37s. I started sailing when I was eight at Manasquan River Yacht Club. After three years, I switched to Mantoloking Yacht Club, where I have sailed for the past four years. Recently, I started a sailing club at Brophy College Prep, my high school in Phoenix, Arizona. My favorite sailing experience was attending the Lake Garda Opti Regatta in 2019, which was an amazing opportunity. Other activities that spark my interest are tennis, surfing, and snowboarding. I love competitive sailing both on and off the bay, and look forward to continuing my passion at BHYC!
