BHYC Club Family Support

Employees and their families who may be experiencing financial hardship have relied on the Foundation since its inception, and that has not changed. Unexpected job losses, furloughs or reduced hours, escalating medical bills and educational debts are all examples of increased need for which the Foundation can and regularly does provide employees and their families with assistance. In addition, as it has grown, the Foundation has been able to provide academic scholarships – often more than 50 per year -- to our college-age employees. Many of these young people would not be able to attend college or trade school or would have more significant debt without the Foundation's support, and they return to work at the club year after year in part due to this ongoing support. With the generous assistance of the BHYC membership, the Foundation is grateful to be able to augment the other aid students receive and on-campus jobs that finance their education. In 2022, grant support to members of the Yacht Club family topped $130,000.
